Findling Wälzlager ball bearings
Special greasing from Findling

Findling Wälzlager has invested in two dosing systems for roller bearing grease as well as in a special cleaning system. This makes it possible to produce special bearings on small and medium scales of up to 1000 units per batch size. The cleaning system guarantees oil-free roller bearing surfaces with a surface tension in line with VDA of 40 mN/m such that even high-quality PTFE greases can be reliably processed.

As the world’s leading manufacturer of braking systems for railway and utility vehicles, Knorr-Bremse has once again named Findling Wälzlager GmbH its “preferred supplier.” The partnership between the two companies is currently focusing on the global procurement of high-quality roller bearing technology. Knorr-Bremse uses Findling’s roller bearings in a series of applications involving rail transport systems, and the scope of delivery is steadily increasing.

Customers benefit from high quality

Thin-section bearings are great for solving problems in applications where there is little installation space, but only if they are selected and used professionally. Findling Wälzlager GmbH has built up special expertise in this regard. This allows typical problems to be avoided from the outset, and the customer benefits from consistently high quality standards, regardless of whether they’re in the standard or premium segments.

Roller bearing donation

Findling Wälzlager donated a total of 50 deep-groove ball bearings to the young researchers of the Academic Aviators (Akademische Fliegergruppe - Akaflieg) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. The noise-tested bearings in electric motor quality are used in the prototype development of the new AK-X glider.

Successful certification

TÜV Süd has certified Findling Wälzlager GmbH as one of the first companies in the roller bearing industry in accordance with the latest standards for quality and environmental management: DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015. No deviations were identified during the audit. Thanks to being well-prepared, Findling Wälzlager even received numerous positive comments.

The right roller bearing selection

There are a lot of popular misconceptions when it comes to the selection of roller bearings. A good example of this is the myth regarding the load capacity of roller bearings: the specification of the load factor in the catalog and above all the overall correct technical specification are both crucial in determining the performance of a bearing. When making the right selection, the bearing clearance and fit also play a decisive role in addition to the cage.

Special for high speeds

Deep groove ball bearings with "electric motor quality" – this is how many providers market their products. Upon closer inspection, the term does not actually mean much since there are no precisely formulated, cross-manufacturer criteria for it. The comprehensive features of Findling Wälzlager’s Xspeed deep-groove ball bearing illustrate which properties are actually important and that a "noise test" is not enough.

ABEG audit

DThe ABEG® method enables comprehensive and manufacturer-independent classification of the global supply of plain bearing and roller bearing technology. It involves auditing and categorizing national and international manufacturers as well as their products and production processes.

ZKL spherical roller bearings

ZKL’s spherical roller bearings impress with their high reliability, even in heavy-duty applications, such as in the mining industry. The bearings consist of single-piece inner and outer rings as well as cage-guided barrel rollers. The inner rings are equipped with either cylindrical or tapered bores.
