Split flange bearings
Split flange bearings have a housing with a removable cover so that they can be combined with the right roller bearing in accordance with the requirements. A classic combination consists of an F-500 (7225000) housing with a conical self-aligning ball bearing, an adapter sleeve, with or without locating rings, and a seal washer set. An end cap can also be used as an alternative to a seal.
The components each have to be purchased and assembled individually, meaning that these products result in high installation costs. For this reason, ready-to-mount SRU spherical roller bearing units are the “modern” version.
