Inner rings
IR series inner rings are used as parallel partners for needle-roller bearings or sealing rings. Because of their standardization and economic availability, they are also popularly used as spacer rings. They are machined from hardened roller bearing steel and have precision machined raceways.
LR series bearing rings are ground but the front faces are only turned and the edges are blunted and have more tolerances in the width B overall.
Available designs
Suffix | Description |
---|---|
C2 | radial bearing clearance smaller than normal |
C3, C4 | radial bearing clearance larger than normal |
EGS | surface ground without twisting (plunge ground, superfinished)
Explanation: surfaces ground without twisting improve the seal between the sealing lip and raceway because twisting “pulls the lubricant through” under the sealing lip in the case of precision machined surfaces. |
S | with lubrication hole |
