Sealed spindle bearings: ABEG® impresses with its efficiency
Findling Wälzlager GmbH is a specialist for the production, procurement and sale of roller bearings. To allow domestic industry to benefit directly from the opportunities presented by globalization, Findling has developed an expert “scout” in the form of the ABEG® method based on the product diversity of the global roller bearing market: ABEG® classifies more than 22,000 bearing types with manufacturer-specific functionalities and details in four performance classes, thus making the different performance and price levels transparent for users. This makes it possible to select the right product quickly, precisely and in a manufacturer-independent way.
Supra spindle bearings: the better solution
The classification of roller bearings has opened up a new dimension for bearing design that meets the market requirements for more effective products at attractive market prices. This is also the case in the area of spindle bearings, a special version of single-row angular contact ball bearings that are especially used in machine tool engineering. They are also suitable for use in various other applications in which extremely high demands are placed on bearing assemblies in terms of guiding accuracy and suitability for high speeds. With speed ranges of up to 30,000 rpm for spindle bearings or up to 150,000 rpm for ceramic spindle bearings and extremely high radial runout accuracy, they are practically the royal class of bearing technology. However, ABEG® Premium performance class bearings are oversized in many applications, thus making them an unnecessarily costly choice. With the same performance level, Supra class products are therefore often a more economical solution that does not adversely impact the performance and reliability of the application. Sealed and thus maintenance-free, easy-to-install spindle bearings have previously been associated with considerable added costs because they could only be purchased from premium providers. With the products from the Supra performance class, a solution is now available that approximates the price level of premium standard bearings. This makes a significant advantage of the ABEG® method clear: more functionality by optimizing the performance class while maintaining the cost structure. Findling Wälzlager offers spindle bearings in two performance classes and application-oriented designs, such as standard spindle bearings with steel balls or hybrid bearings with steel rings and ceramic rolling elements as well as designs that are sealed on both sides and greased for life and high-speed bearings for peak speeds at processing centers.
