Housing bearings for industrial air handling and HVAC systems

Findling Wälzlager has expanded its housing bearing range to include the air handling series. The products are available in a standard design as well as a variant with a non-contact seal for low frictional torque. These bearings thus meet two important customer requirements: higher speed limits and less heat development.

Thermal, ventilation and air-conditioning technology, systems for air filtration or cleaning, compressors or centrifuges – the range of applications for industrial air handling systems is diverse and associated with demanding operating conditions. These include, for example, high speeds and temperatures, above average volume of dirt particles, dust or slag, and sometimes clean room requirements. Like the overall systems, installed components must also meet the respective standards. Findling supplies housing bearings from the ABEG® portfolio that are specifically designed for these applications. The products have proven themselves as high-performance, easy-to-install and economical solutions with application-specific combination options.
The tighter fit between the housing and bearing insert ensures a particularly firm hold on the shaft and is additionally secured against slippage by anti-twist protection. The bearing clearance and the base running tolerances are restricted with respect to the standard in order to reduce vibration and noise. This significantly increases the bearing service life. A lubricant designed for high speeds and higher bearing temperatures helps to achieve this. Thanks to these features, the housing bearings are also reliable solutions in high-speed applications. The “Air Handling S3” series is available as standard and “Air Handling S5 Non Contact Seal” as a special solution.
